Kristen Kauffman joined SPM as a full-time staff member in 2008 after serving as a writer and consultant to the agency for a number of years. As the agency’s editorial director and crisis management team member, Ms. Kauffman draws on her experience as a veteran news and PR writer. She began her journalism career at the Associated Press while still attending Southern Methodist University and has written for The Dallas Morning News and Texas Monthly. TV news credits include anchor/reporter/producer in Sherman, Texas, executive producer at the Birmingham CBS affiliate, special projects producer at the New Orleans NBC affiliate WDSU and associate producer at WFAA-TV in Dallas.
