Suzanne Miller

Leveraging her unique background in advertising, promotions and public relations, Suzanne Miller founded SPM Communications in 1999, immediately taking on clients like Whataburger, Chipotle Mexican Grill and Heelys (the skate shoe with a wheel in each heel). Along the way, SPM added Interstate Batteries, Michaels, Bruegger’s, Hilton Bella Harbor Hotel, Rockfish Seafood Grill, Chantal Cookware, Lawn Doctor, YoCrunch, CiCi’s and Texas Neurofibromatosis Foundation, an organization near and dear to SPM, to name a few.

SPM has been featured in The Dallas Morning News, Wall Street Journal and on NPR for the company’s commitment to maintaining a “jerk-free” work place. In 2008, the agency was named one of 10 national winners from a pool of 5,000 entrants for the “Make Mine a Million $ Business” Program sponsored by Count Me In for Women’s Economic Independence and American Express. The program mentors women-owned businesses that show great promise to impact their community and capability to grow their business. As board president of the Texas Neurofibromatosis (NF) Foundation, Ms. Miller was invited to testify in front of Congress regarding NF research funding in 2008. In 2009, the House approved $25 million in funding for NF research – the largest granted in five years.
